About Oliver
Hi, my name is Oliver DeLano and I am a freshman at Stanford University. I have experience teaching AP Calculus AB, as I have taught it to many of my friends and been able to help them achieve high scores on the AP exam. Although I specialize in Calculus, I can do a variety of other subjects. If a student needs help with their writing, I would be glad to review/edit some of their work. Also, I was AP Microeconomics, AP Macroeconomics, and AP Physics standout student of the year at my high school, where I graduated as Valedictorian with a 4.5 cumulative GPA. I am capable and excited to tutor in all of these subjects, with an emphasis on AP Calculus AB.
I have always enjoyed the feeling of teaching. I have been lucky enough in my life to have been given the opportunity to receive an amazing education, and I want that to be a reality for everyone. I am willing to put in the hours -- both while I'm with the student and when I am not -- to help them with any classes they may be having trouble in. I respond to emails very quickly, so if a student has a question on homework all that needs to be done is to send a quick email/text. I am familiar with the feeling of not knowing what I have to do for a problem, and not having anyone to go to for help, and I don't want any other student to feel that way.
