About Jessica
Sweet Sage Goods was created so I could stay at home with my son while doing something I loved: making and bringing this hobby to new people. I have been doing hand lettering/modern calligraphy for almost 3 years, after getting my art degree in 2014, and teaching elementary art for several years. I have tried our many hobbies and nothing stuck like lettering. I can do so much with it and I love to see how my style evolves through practice.
I have a Bachelors if Fine Art and have taught elementary/middle school art for almost 4 years. Starting in late February/March, I will be hosting workshops in the Charlotte area on Brush Lettering.

See where they’re at with cursive writing, as it is the foundation. Practice regular letters in cursive and brush strokes with the brush pens using a workbook created by me. Focus on each letter with the brush pen, knowing where to go thick vs. thin. Connecting letters to make words. Finally focusing on extras such as layout tips and flourishes.
