About Francisco
Cellists of any level from beginners to advanced or university age and beyond will benefit from my lengthy experience As a professional cellist.
I currently serve on the cello faculty of the prestigious Longy School of Music of Bard College in Boston and am invited to give classes at other universities throughout the year.
I believe that anyone who has the hunger to learn and a love for the cello will enjoy working with me at all levels. Our focus will be on giving you all the tools you need to master the instrument!

I am a solo cellist and have been a guest soloist with major orchestras around the world including the Houston Symphony, Liege Royal Philharmonic and others.
My past mentors include Janos Starker at Indiana University and Gary Hoffman at the Queen Elizabeth Music Chapel in Belgium.
I am Visiting Professor at the Longy School of Music of Bard College in Cambridge, MA, and also direct a major music festival in Ecuador, where we give full-scholarship tuition to 40 music students each year.

I have to assess the initial level of a student and decide what technical skills the student will need to build. Next, I choose musical pieces that will help them to gain the needed skills. It's important to give the feeling of having accomplished a goal by the end of each lesson, so a lesson with me will be very focused on reaching that goal.
