About Kathy
Hello,
My clay program, Clay Explorations is a project-based program. The students learn the basics of hand-building clay which includes pinch pots, slabs, and coils and glazing. The program always begins with a project-based approach. Once the students are comfortable they can do their own projects with guidance from the teacher. The studio has all the tools needed to make sculptural and functional ceramics. I teach school-age students from k-8. My studio is safe with a lovely cat Rosie and funny dog Zoomie to keep us company in the studio.
I really enjoy teaching young people because of their fantastic imaginations and playfulness. I also enjoy my students' expressions on their faces when they see their final project. I love clay!!
