About Garrett
Hello fellow science aficionados!
As a student myself, I understand the complexity of understanding science. Sometimes it takes a little supplemental studying and aid to get that +A. Thats what I am here to offer!
My collegiate life has involved a multitude of sciences ranging from intro chemistry to pathogen microbiology. Through such rigorous courses, I understand what it is like to not fully grasp a concept. Through my experience and dedication to the craft of learning, I believe that I can offer help in your science needs!
Recently, my love for science has allowed me to excel in understanding the subject. However, some peers who may find teachers' tactics difficult to understand, or rather, lack focus in studying began asking for help. Soon after helping some, I found that teaching allowed my peers, as well as me, to gain a more stable foundation of subjects.
As a student, I understand the rigor of science. I am a junior that is majoring in sciences, which allows me to relate, as well as understand most concepts that many struggle with.

The process with a new student is as follows:
1. Build a comfortable environment that allows education to prosper.
2. Listen to areas where the student is struggling
3. Formulate a plan including, practice, repetitive motion, active learning, and reinforcement of points
4. Solidify the understanding, as well as insisting repetition outside of tutoring to concrete the concepts.
I have mostly worked with college students, however, I do find that I would be able to give tutoring to high school students as well.
Look for those who truly love to learn.
Most recently, I was helping a peer of mine study. During this, rather than take a normal approach, we began making mnemonic acronyms that were quite silly but ultimately led to greater memorization of the subject.
