About Rocio
Hello! My name is Rocio Gutierrez and I graduated from De Anza College in Math, Science and Engineering and the University of Caifornia, Berkeley in Legal Studies. Prior to De Anza College I attended Chabot College in Hayward where I worked for their tutoring services, Learning Connection. There I tutored individually and in groups and on my spare time I also tutored my peers.
My first chemistry class was at Chabot College and I loved it but it was quite the challenge. I studied for many hours outside the classroom to understand each topic and grew to love it. I realized early on that I enjoyed explaining the material to my peers and began tutoring on my spare time. I was then nominated by a professor of mine to be a tutor at our tutoring center. What I loved the most was to see my tutee's grades imporve and their undertsanding improve. I felt I was a unique tutor because I had just learned the material and knew the challenges that came with just learning the topics.
