About Alex
I have tutored on the high school and collegiate level for the last year. I am knowledgable about current New York State standards and examinations in chemistry and biology. My collegiate tutoring experience leaves me qualified to tutor students in Advanced Placement courses and those that are interested in taking SAT subject examinations. I have relationships with educators on the high school and collegiate level, which gives me access to a plethora of resources to help out my students.
A quality education is the pathway toward success. I am not so old as to have forgotten the struggles of finding ones way academically. For some students, it is hard to understand the value of hard work in academia. For others, perhaps they are just struggling with a particular field of science. Regardless, it brings me joy aiding students in finding success in the classroom and on their examinations.
1 Year Experience Working With Collegiate and High School Students. (Biology, Chemistry, and Anatomy)
Masters in the Art of Teaching in Adolescent Biology: 7-12 Grade From Manhattanville College.
Tutored At Westchester Community College and Worked Closely with High School Students Throughout Westchester County, NY
Have worked with diverse groups of students, including non-native English Speakers.

I always start with an evaluation of my students to give them the opportunity to educate me on how they feel they learn best. I ask for samples of a student's work to determine areas of weakness and strength. I encourage a student to develop their academic skills, including working on improving note taking, teaching test taking strategies, and improving studying habits.

He has good communication skills and strong work ethics. Friendly and approachable
Was a very excellent experience working with him. The material was hard to grasp until he made everything simple and I’ve seen a very big change in my grade. Also made it very fun to learn material.
Alex was very helpful. He helped me in Biology (Anatomy and physiology) and on the finals I got a really good grade that I never thought that I would get all I can say is thank you Alex for tutoring me.
Very helpful!
Alex has been such a fantastic tutor. I would not have been able to get through chemistry without him. It is because of him that I got an A in chemistry last semester. He was very thorough on every topic and took the time to really make sure I understood the material.
Alex was a great tutor with infinite patience. He was passionate about his subject and it was evident when we were working together. If at any point, we came across a topic or problem neither of us understood, he would not move on until we both were able to comprehend it. To me, that shows great dedication.
