About Kirsten
With Ms. R, the prospective student will learn beginner's level skills on the clarinet that will help prepare the student for early education in music. Ms. R provides a safe and open environment for your child. She knows that just because the world has stopped, the music won't. Ms. R will provide lessons over zoom for your student's safety and others.
Ms. Kirsten Rasmussen graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor's in English Literature, where she had also participated in the band, as well as other musical groups that the school had offered. In earlier years, she attended a blue ribbon school where she participated in seven different music groups and honed her skills on 7 different instruments including clarinet, bass clarinet, tenor saxophone, flute, piano, guitar, bass guitar, and ukulele. She understands the importance of music in a child's education and will able to guide her students through the process of joining a performing group.
