About Micayla
I recently graduated college and am now in a PhD program. This provides me with recent knowledge of what types of questions/assignment students may need my help with.
I sincerely enjoy helping students achieve their educational goals and will patiently work with them until they work through any confusions they may encounter.
I have always loved teaching. I designed two adult learning courses and independently taught them with great reviews.
I have a bachelor's degree in Classics and am currently enrolled in a PhD program for history.

First, I like to learn a bit about the student in order to assess what learning style they find most effective so I can tailor tutoring lessons to them.
I have worked with a wide variety, in terms of learning styles, background, and ages of students.
A student that is looking to hire a teacher in my area of expertise can expect to learn skills that will help them conquer the subject they are struggling with even when the course material changes.
This past summer, I taught at an academic camp geared towards exceptionally intelligent children. Seeing the students in my classes meet, an in some cases, surpass their goals was a wonderful experience for me.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Some questions students should think through before talking to teachers about their needs are:
1. Have I previously encountered a similar problem to what I am struggling with currently?
2. What steps have I taken to solve this problem independently?
3. What exactly am I confused about?
