I tackle 2 main areas when teaching. Confidence and knowledge. All too often I hear "I can't do maths." Giving students a robust tool set to tackle any problem then building confidence in specific subject areas helps them walk into a class or exam confident in them selves and their skills. I begin each lesson by asking the student what they have been studying recently and get them to explain what they know on what we will be tackling that session. From this basis we can then build on existing knowledge to achieve better results

Felix has helped our daughter to gain confidence in her GCSE physics and her grades have increased. Felix explains concepts clearly and if she doesn't understand something one way he will find a different way of describing it. He helps her to understand the underlying concepts rather than just learning them. He can teach a deeper understanding of the topics which makes it easier to understand exam papers. He talks through exam techniques and how to approach different questions. Felix is always punctual and will find a time to suit us for sessions. All sessions have been on zoom due to pandemic.
