About Ashleigh
Ashleigh has had a dance career spanning over 7 years in 35 cities and 4 continents. She grew up in Cape Town, South Africa. She has worked as a professional at Semper Opera Ballet in Dresden, London Contemporary Ballet Theatre and Fernsehballet Berlin. She has performed as a soloist in world touring productions with Rambert Ballet’s artistic director Mark Baldwin as well as former English National Ballet director Peter Schaufuss. She is a teacher at Amoyo Dance Outreach program in South Africa and Youth American Grand Prix here in the US. She teaches at Marat Daukayev School of Ballet, Degas Dance Studio, Burbank Dance Academy and The Sweat Spot. She is a signed dancer with Bloc LA.
Working with young dancers has been one of the most fulfilling paths of my career. I do mentoring, private training, choreography, career advice, conditioning and teaching. My qualifications include Advanced Classical Ballet (Cecchetti Imperial Society), Pilates, Advanced Yoga and Personal training.
