About Ken & Sharie

This question is easy! Our relaxed family friendly SUPPORTIVE atmosphere is one of the things we receive the most compliments on from families switching to us from other studios. We take great pride in leading our students to be welcoming, non-competitive within the studio and supportive and encouraging to all dance students. We have an open window policy so that parents are able to watch EACH and EVERY class from our comfortable lobby. We have a very well rounded dance program with extremely talaneted and passionate instructors in all styles of dance.

What we love most about the work we do is knowing that we have given so many children a safe place to learn, grow and gain self confidence. We are very happy that our business brings so many together and has created memories and friendships that may last a lifetime.

Rock City Dance has been in business for over ten years (2008). We have an amazing faculty of 12+ insructors. Many of our instructors have graduated with dance degrees. We have Cav's Dance Scream Team members and instructors who have many many years of dance teaching experience. Our instructors are here to teach, support, lead and make sure your child excels not only in skill but most importantly in gaining the self confidence.

We start out each student with a conversation to understand what the student is looking for. We will ask questions to understand what their goals are, what their prior dance experience may be, what they are looking to acheive and what what they may be looking to avoid. From these questions we can typically place them in the appropriate class(es). Once in the classroom setting we will assess them further and if needed we will adjust class placement.

We work with students ages 2 through adult from begginer to professionl. We also have private classes available for most styles of dance. We also work with couples and groups to create wedding choreography.

Make sure you check out the studio fiirst, talk to the owners, talk to other students, get a feel for the atmosphere. Make sure you feel welcomed and that the answers to your questions fit your goals.

There have been many events we are fond of. One is the World Dance Championship competition in New Jersey that our teams did amazing at. Two teams placed 1st in their categories and another team took 2nd. We competed agaianst teams from around the world. It was an amazing experience. Come check our studio and see the 6 foot tropheys we brought home. : )
