About Shannon

Now that we are inside, keep up with your skills, brush up a new monologue, prepare for self-tape auditions!

In this time of confinement, we will explore how you remain connected to your physical instrument. Discover how to become a more embodied actor. Bring greater physical freedom to your work, allowing your voice and impulses to flow more freely. Together, will bring a new level of physical exploration to your monologue and scene work.

MFA, Acting - The New School

MA, Drama - San Francisco State

Life is about being present, in the moment, and full. The "work" is also about play - finding fearlessness and great curiosity. I get to enjoy this in my work and it translates into other areas of life!

I started teaching with the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival and continued teaching and directing various youth (high school through early college) theatre programs. I currently teach in MFA program at The New School.

I have an MFA in Acting from The New School for Drama and almost 20 years of professional performing experience.

About the lesson

The first step is to talk and see if we are compatible. I like to know more about what a student is looking for, get an idea of where they are coming from and what their goals are. I would like to be able to answer questions they have so we have a really good framework for the first meeting.

We can use Zoom, Skype, or Facetime.

All ages and all levels of experience!

ASK QUESTIONS!!! Don't be afraid to be very clear about what you need and what you are looking for. Be honest and direct.
