About Sandra

Since 1999 I have been teaching social - American style as well as competitive- International styles of both Ballroom and Latin. I am British trained for the International by some of the finest Master coaches and the same for American style here in the US. I was fortunate to have lived all of my life in the NY Metro area and always had the finest coaches available to me.

My competitive students have access to world level coaches as needed.

I would be happy to discuss your interests. I teach from my home in Palm Desert. I charge per lesson hour. I do not do packages. It is payment by lesson.

My schedule fluctuates daily. You must book in advance by phoning.

I am given the opportunity to help people enjoy and for me to pass on my love for dancing.

I come from a dance family and have been dancing all of my life. I was trained by some of the finest master coaches in the U.K., Europe and here in the US. When I decided to retire from competition it was important for me to pass my love and joy of music and dance onto others.

I am also trained in the Alexander Technique, biomechanics and kinesiology. I was a competitive artistic skater and an equestrian. Through all of these trainings I am able to teach with an large reference of information as to what is best for each individual I teach.

About the lesson

There is no "typical". Every lesson is tailored to what each individual needs at that time.

Are you serious and will you practice what you have been given in your lesson? Dance takes training of the muscles in your body and retraining of preconceived ideas in your mind.

It is best to have beginning goals in mind and be in an open and positive frame of mind to receive the information. Consider it a journey, not a specific destination.

Though I do teach Social American style I specialize in International competitive amateur couples. I do travel to coach singles and couples. I also specialize in Peabody and have been dancing for all if my life, as I come from a dance family. I teach couples and families for the wedding dances, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs and going on cruises.

I work with all levels of dancer. I believe that everyone should enjoy dance to the very best of their abilities and My goal is to help them achieve it.

Be committed and know that it takes time and dedicated practice to achieve the necessary retraining of your mind and body. It is an ongoing journey.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Decided on both short and long term goals. Be aware that you and your teacher may not always agree, but had your best interests in mind when instructing you.

You will also need specific shoes and other equipment and must be willing to cooperate. Ad in all physical activities you will only gain as much as you are willing to work through.

I charge $75 and up per lesson depending upon the needs of the student. If you are a wedding couple needing special choreography to a specific piece of music there will be an extra charge.

I do not sell lesson packages. It is payment at the time of the lesson.
