About Crista

Versatile, experienced, & fun teacher! I am the artistic director for Lone Star College-Kingwood Dance Ensemble, currently. Have taught private tap & yoga certified, as well.

Dance is my passion & enjoy physical movement as an art & entertainment. I have taught dance for at least 20 years including community college as well as children's dance. I have performed and choreographed professionally, especially modern /contemporary dance & all genres of .musical theatre dance.

I have a M.A. in dance from Texas Woman's University, Denton. I have served as Dance Performance Chair for TAHPERD, choreographed, performed locally & have published artcles about dance.

About the lesson

I love to work with beginners, although training at any level teaching fundental skills in alignment, for safety & sustainability. My Masters degree at one of the top 10 graduate schools in dance in the U.S. has taught me the importance of basics in building strong technique with various genres of dance, ballet,modern/contemporary, jazz, tap and musical theatre. I also have experience teaching children and middle school students.
