About Alyson

All my focus will go to what the student needs and I offer a free lesson for the first lesson to make sure that we are a good fit. I can teach you how to draw exactly what you see. I'm a classically trained artist.

Art is my life and I love expressing myself through it. I love telling stories and making it as true to beauty as I can. The idea and concept are just as important as the skill level. I still have so much to learn myself but I'm so passionate about it. I want the student to see that art is beautiful and not just frustrating. I believe whether you think you have skill or not you can learn to draw and you can see the beauty in it. Everyone is an artist. And why be limited to what you are able to do?

I've had 7 art instructors throughout my life and I'm continuing my education at beaux art academy under the artist Joseph Brickey.

About the lesson

I will figure out what the student likes to do and what they are passionate about. I will always start with pencil first because once you know how to draw really well you can explore other mediums a lot easier. I will teach the student starting at basics to draw exactly what they see to get the exactness down and then we will talk about idea and concept and how to make a compelling masterpiece.

I would say look for someone who can allow you to explore your artistic abilities. There isn't one way to do art and everyone expresses it differently. That being said you also want someone who can teach you the solid basics so that you can give the world true beauty.

Details

The first lesson is always free because I want the student to be able to know if they can work with me without any obligations. Each lesson after that will be 30 minutes for 10$ a lesson.
