About Brandi

I have 26 years of art education experience, 20 of those years as a certified public school art teacher.

Not only have many my students won awards and scholarships, but many stay in touch and sometimes go on to art careers.

I have two master degrees, one in education and the other an MFA from SVA here in New York.

For the last 6 years I’ve taught elementary through HS students all over NYC with various art education non-profits.

A teacher should have expertise, but the goal of teaching should be to equalize that knowledge. I find it thrilling when my students have internalized what we do together and can confidently describe what they are doing better, and why. It’s a joyful thing!
