About Claudia
Claudia Smalley is a Chicago-based artist. She has shown work at national venues including the Polish Museum of America as well as Illinois State Museum venues through the Illinois Artisans Program. The Chicago Art Institute’s Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art, James Rondeau, had also selected Claudia as an ArtFutura finalist.
Claudia's artwork is featured in "The Girlfriend Experience", a television series on the Starz network. Claudia has also been featured on TLC’s television show, “Craft Wars”, hosted by Tori Spelling, as well as in various local/national/international print publications including the Chicago Reader, CBS Chicago (web edition), Business News Daily, and La Republica (The national newspaper of Italy).
When asked about her commitment to art, she says: "Art is absolutely a critical part of my life, one that allows me to stay connected with my creative roots, as well as with my community."
