First, I like to get an understanding of a student's current comfort level with the subject. What do they understand? What are they confident with? What needs improvement? Then I like to discuss their goals, whether it be improving overall understanding of the subject or the specific mastery of topics for a test. From there, we'll work together to create a plan of action!
