I have a simple progression when I create a piece of artwork, and that is what I will be introducing you to first. We will talk about what interests you, and I will help point you in the right direction to achieve your goals.

My collegiate education, professional curator critiques, and public art studio residency have given me the skills necessary to provide instruction.

I will be using many teachings from Betty Edward's "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain". Recording physical objects requires a certain way of looking at things, and this book does an excellent job in explaining this concept.

Composition, color theory, gesture, and contour line drawings are some of the techniques we will explore.

I have always been fascinated by all art forms for as long as I can remember. Painting has been my main focus for the last 20 years.

The thing I love most about visual art, is its ability to express emotions and ideas that can't be spoken. It has a language all of its own. It is an outlet for the artist as well as a message for the audience. (Even if that audience is only you.)
