About Joel
Driving can be stressful. I like to take a much more relaxed approach to giving instruction. I am confident that we can both achieve your goal, whether it be the beginning fundamentals of driving or practice parallel parking for your upcoming test. I also offer instruction and classes on preventative maintenance and safety checks for your vehicle.
I started teaching my 15 year old daughter how to drive, then a few of her friends which led to business from people needing to teach their teens how to drive but did not have the time or the patience. The amount of money it costs for a local driving school was also a factor.
I have held a clean driving record and have been on the road professionally for over 15 years. I have achieved the United States Army Drivers Badge. I work full time as a mechanic for the Arizona Army National Guard.

We would have a consultation about your goals and what you want to achieve on the road before any lesson begins. This typically takes 10-15 minutes.
Mostly teens and beginners.
I would advise students to look up pricing on local schools but also pay attention to what they offer. Local schools will offer to opt you out of taking the driving test but it is very expensive.
I recently taught my now 17-year-old daughter how to drive a manual transmission. She picked it up incredibly easily and it made me very proud.
A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Simply be prepared to discuss your level of confidence behind the wheel, I feel building off of hands-on experience works best with most learners.

I charge $35 for the 1st hour of intstruction (after the 10-15 minute consultation) then $25 an hour after that.
