About Nicole
Liberal Arts Tutoring aims to provide students with the skills to overcome their difficulties. Imagine how much easier it would be to have effective methods of problem solving in your aresenal than to have a recurring issue you can't resolve. My specialty is Philosophy though I've been recognized by my professors and college in Economics, the Liberal Arts, and Business. I'm most passionate about helping others develop useful and efficient strategies for notetaking, studying, and writing. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy with a minor in Economics from Assumption College, graduated Cum Laude, made Dan's List 6 of 7 semesters, and was inducted into Phi Sigma Tao and Omicron Delta Epsilon. While there, I worked as an accredited Philosophy tutor (CRLA Regular Tutoring Certificate: Philosophy awarded by the International Tutor Training Program) at the Academic Support Center.

I like to begin by reviewing the subject, assignments, and goals set before each student to give me an idea how to best serve them. I also like to familarize myself with your note taking method and (subject permitting) your writing style. All of the above will tell me where you need improvement and how I can best help you. Because my college had a Liberal Arts core curriculum I'm able to tutor various subjects. Additionally, the skillset I've acquired allows me to help students even when I'm vaguely familar with a subject and its specifics. I'm also willing to do independent research on less familar subjects in order to best serve my students.
If you're opposed to growth and looking for someone to feed you answers then I'm not the right tutor for you. I'm invested in your growth and that requires a sufficient skillset which I will help you develop. I will of course answer your questions but I will not do all of the work for you.
