About Monica

Hi, my name is Monica! I'm a Licensed Elementary School Teacher. I enjoy teaching children how to read and do math. It is so incredibly rewarding to watch a child learn how to read and solve math equations on their own. I have a structured reading and math program to address a variety of learners needs. I specialize in teaching reading, reading comprehension, spelling, grammar, writing, and math.

I have been a teacher and tutor for 20 years. I graduated from UNM with an Associates, Bachelors, and Masters Degree in Elementary Education. Throughout my academic career, I graduated with honors. During post graduate school, I helped co-author a book about my experiences with teaching reading.

I enjoy helping children become literate and excel in math.

About the lesson
