I am a recent college graduate in Linguistics and Education and a current MSc student in Applied Linguistics. I have worked as an ESL teacher for adults and literacy TA within elementary schools. I’m eager to share my passion for language and literacy with students of all ages.

My teaching is based around the culturally responsive pedagogy theory, with emphasis on recognizing, valuing, and using students’ home language(s) within teaching. I know that students make the most progress and enjoy lessons the most when they’re able to bring their own knowledge from their home language(s) to the table.
