About Kathy
My name is Kathy. I have been an educator for the past 25 years, and for the last seven years, I have been running a bilingual program in Ecuador. When I was learning English as my second language, I remember the struggles we commonly encountered when it came to speaking, as we were not taught the importance of phonics. As a preschool and kindergarten teacher, I believe that phonics is fundamental for early reading and writing. I apply this same approach to help my ESL students build confidence when practicing their conversational skills and improve their pronunciation.
