About Anu

Learning a new language can be exciting, but it can also feel intimidating. My goal is to make the experience comfortable, encouraging, and enjoyable, whether I am teaching a young child learning their first words in a new language or an adult who wants to communicate more confidently. For the past 17 years, I have had the pleasure of working with students of all ages and backgrounds. I teach ESL and English, as well as Hindi as a foreign language, to children, teenagers, and adults. My lessons are personalized to each learner’s needs and goals. For children, I use age-appropriate activities, conversation, reading, vocabulary, and games to make learning engaging and natural. For adults, I focus on practical communication, pronunciation, vocabulary, conversation, reading, and writing based on what they want to accomplish. When teaching Hindi, I can help students develop both spoken and written Hindi, beginning with the basics or building on skills they already have. Whether a student is learning Hindi to connect with family and culture, preparing for travel, or simply interested in learning a new language, I want the experience to be meaningful and enjoyable. I believe that making mistakes is a natural and important part of learning a language. My students should never feel embarrassed to ask a question, try a new word, or make a mistake. Confidence comes from practicing in a supportive environment. For me, teaching a language is about more than vocabulary and grammar. It is about helping someone find their voice, communicate with confidence, and connect with other people. Whether you are a parent looking for an English or Hindi tutor for your child, an adult wanting to improve your English, or someone who would love to learn Hindi, I would be happy to be part of your language-learning journey.
