About Trish

I specialize in: *English as a Second Language (for children, teens, and adults) *conversational classes (a safe place to practice and learn corrections) *how to read English ***every 10th class is free!!*** I LOVE TEACHING ENGLISH. Classes can be booked from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, Central Time Zone. $60/ 50-minute class or $40/ 25-minute class. I customize each class for your specific learning needs. You choose how much homework you want. (se habla espanol)

I love teaching and it shows! I have lived in 3 countries. I had to learn a new language myself and I understand how important it is in order to thrive in a new environment. I believe that English is one of the best gifts that I can give to others to help them succeed in their situation.

I have a bachelor's degree in Education. I am certified in TESOL , foundational and advanced. I have been teaching for over 20 years. I have been teaching English for over 4 years and especially love reading up on grammar in my spare time. :)

About the lesson

The first class will consist of assessing how much the student knows and where there is room for improvement. We will also talk about what the student specifically desires to work on. Then I will design lessons specifically for you. Classes are centered around giving the student the most time possible to practice speaking. Tips and strategies will be given to improve pronunciation and grammar. Homework is available upon request.

Many of my students were born in another country and now live in the United States. Classes can also be taken from anywhere in the world. I have worked with children, teenagers, women, and men from many different parts of the world: China, Mexico, Honduras, India, Korea, Columbia, Panama, Turkey, Spain, etc.

My advice is to look for someone that gives you an individualized lesson that is geared specifically to your learning needs. Make sure that you are TALKING a lot in your classes. Practicing in a comfortable environment ensures confidence to speak elsewhere.

"She is an amazing teacher. I recommend her services with confidence to anyone who is interested in improving their English communication skills. We worked together for months on my written and speaking English. Trish always shared interesting articles for discussion, taught me to summarize the ideas. She understood my needs very well and helped me prepare for the next stage in my career which I really appreciated. Thank you!"
