About Valerie
I am an experienced Greek language instructor with over 30 years of teaching. I have taught at FSI (Foreign Service Institute) with the State Department, different language schools in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, mostly with ICA. I teach mostly to students on a one-on-one basis. Most of my graduating students are assigned to the American Embassy in Athens, Greece.
I am passionate about teaching Greek. I grew up in Greece and love Greece and everything about Greece. I can teach the language in a way that makes learning easy and fun. I not only teach the language but also familiarize my students with Greek culture, traditions, history, current events etc.
I enjoy watching a student with hardly and knowledge of Greek pick up the language and start expressing himself/herself more and more with each passing lesson and blossom with an enthusiasm for Greek.
