About Aleigha
I am a private tutor, catoring specifically to the student and their needs. Being a college student, I have experience and knowledge of all high school and college entrence exams, as well as knowledge in school curriculum.
I love helping people solve problems and learn in their own way. Helping people find the small wins in learning, and become excited about certain subjects brings me joy.
I started tutoring in high school with helping my classmates edit essays, check math work, etc. and loved it! I also helped both my older and little sister's with their work as well. I started tutoring more seriously when I started college in my free time. Going to a performing arts school, I miss academics quite a bit, and tutoring helps me home in on my analytical skills and brings the joy in learning and helping others learn.
I have training in PSAT and SAT entrance exams. Tutoring experience in english (creative writing, essay writing, pronunciation), and basic math. I am now a musical theatre major, having taken many advanced voice and music classes I am well versed on those as well.

I'll spend the first lesson getting to know a student, their learning style, and what they need most attention and help with in the short term asd well as the long run. After that I really cater to the student seeing what extra amount of work from me is most beneficial to them and their learning.
I have worked mostly with elementary and middle school students in basic math and english, as well as high school students in english.
My best advice is to find a teacher that can give you whjat you need, and really communicate with the tutor on what is most helpful to you. Don't ever feel pressured to stay with a tutor if their style of teaching isn't right for you, and spend your money on one who you work well with.
