About Rebecca
I once had a special teacher tell me that I could be a professional writer; she was right! It is now my mission to inspire young writers as an exceptional teacher. My goal in each of my classes is to build up my students' confidence and help them develop a love of language arts.
I would love to be your child's teacher! I have a plethora of English teaching experience with a variety of age ranges, and I am an expert writer. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Journalism, and after college, I served as a language arts specialist for a school corporation. In this role, I gained teaching experience with elementary-aged children. We focused on skills such as phonics, grammar, and writing. I've also had experience tutoring middle grades, high schoolers, and undergrads.
Currently, I am a professional writer, and I compose original content for several online publications, agencies, and private clients. I also teach Chinese children English as a second language and teach creative writing courses on Outschool. I am open to children, teen, and adult private tutoring via Zoom.
My teaching philosophy is a student-centered model. I aim to help students think for themselves and develop genuine wisdom. Thank you for choosing me, and I'll see you in class!
