About Brittney

My business stands out because I have always been able to understand literature and writing at a very young age. When it comes to subjects such as English, Reading and Writing I've always made great grades in them. I even helped some students format their papers when I was in college. I still offer my assistance to those who don't quite grasp English and Writing as quick as most. I don't have any exact qualifications but I was able to help a lot of students pass their classes with my advice on their papers. I love looking over papers to correct them and I love helping people form amazing ideas when dealing with writers block. English, reading, and writing are definitely huge passions of mine.

I enjoy watching students grasp the material that I'm able to help them with. Most importantly I love seeing how happy they are when they got a good grade on their work or even passed their class.

I got started teaching when I realized that I was able to help a lot of my classmates when it came to formatting ideas for their papers. It came really natural to me. I also always got great grades on my English and Writing assignments and someone told me that I should become a tutorer. After that the rest was history!

I have a Bathelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. In this Degree I was able to make it myself by taking a lot of liberal art like classes. Most of these classes consisted of English classes. Not only did I have slot of English classes but I also had a lot of classes that required a lot of writing. With this experience I was able to quickly grasp the tips for creating the perfect paper. I was also able to grasp fixing grammatical errors rather quickly.

My typical process is sitting down with a student and seeing if they have made any rough drafts so far with their papers. If they haven't I help them brain storm ideas. After this I help them narrow their idea down to one idea. After this I help them structure their paper from their beginning paragraph, their body paragraph or paragraphs to their conclusion paragraph. I make them think of what their topic sentence would be as well. After they write their first rough draft I then look for grammatical errors and make sure that their paper flows. Once I feel like they have a perfect paper then that is the end of my process!

I've worked with college students so far. I'm willing to try other students as well however.

I would tell a student to definitely do their research before finding a teacher in my area. I would say this just so that they can receive the best service possible. I would also tell them to never be discouraged in finding help. Tallahassee is a college town FILLED with recent graduates ready to help.

I would say that I was very fond of a graduation of one of my students. I was so happy to see her walk across the stage because I remembered tutoring her so many times for her English classes. She was always so ready to learn and really grasped everything that I was teaching her almost immediately. So seeing her overcome that amazing milestone meant the world to me!

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Students should think about if they are willing to be dedicated to being help from a teacher. This is very important because teachers want nothing but the best for their students but it only works if the student is dedicated.

I usually charge $30 per session. I was a college student myself so I know how hard it can be to find an affordable tutor.
