About Vince

In my time as a coach at the college and high school level I have never had a season where a player in my position group has not been named, at least, All-Conference.

Players, on teams I've coached, and of personal coaching have improved statistically from one year to the next.

I love working with football players and watching their growth. When I see a player do something with ease, that they would not have had the confidence to attempt only weeks earlier I know I have done my job and I take great pride in that.

As a life long athlete and the son of a coach I always knew that coaching would be in my future. During the time I was still playing (high school and college) I took opportunities to coach at youth camps and clinics when those opportunities arose to prepare me for my eventual move into the career of coaching. Immediately after completing my senior season playing at Hiram College I began looking for coaching positions and began my career at a high school local to myhome town.

I have played football at the college level, always knowing I wanted a career in coaching.

In 2012 my playing career ended and I began my coaching career. Since the fall of 2012 I have coached at the high school and college level working with several positions and serving as a varsity assistant coach and varsity offensive coordinator at multiple schools. Schools I have coached at have seen multiple players that I have coached be named to All-County, All-Disctrict, All-Conference, and All-State teams, while having record breaking seasons.

My typical process starts with a workout that encompasses many elements of playing the athletes position. This is done to evaluate where the athlete is in need of the most improvement.

From their, lessons are planned in an effort to get the athlete better at those techniques in need of the most improvement.

Each lessons incorporates proper technique for all functions of the athletes position and ways to keep the athlete healthy.

I have worked with many students over my time through out camps, and the teams I have coached. These students have ranged from very young elementary school aged athletes to college seniors.

I have worked with athletes of varying skill level from beginners to college varsity lettermen.

To a student looking for advice on hiring a teacher in my area of expertise I would say to look for someone who will suit your needs. Too many coaches, for teams and for personal one on one lessons, have a stable of basic/generic drills they put all their athletes through. But how is the improving you? How is that addressing areas you need to improve? Find someone who will focus on you getting better, and what to do to make that happen.

A recent event I am fond of was an Ultimate Football Youth Camp that I worked back in January. The day long event was for beginners (young athletes) who want to learn and get better at playing and understading football. Though a lot of my coaching is with older athletes it is fun to have an opportunity to with a younger group who are just excited to learn about how to play football.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Questions a student should think through before talking to teachers about their needs would be,

What experiences does this teacher have?

Does their knowledge match what I need to improve?

Is this person dedicated to this?

Do they want to help me get better?
