About Ken

My name is Ken Ekanem, sports have been a passion of mine as long as I can remember. I was a 2 time all metropolitan (DC, Maryland, Virginia area) football player in high school and ended playing defensive end for Virginia Tech totaling 22 sacks during my time there and ended my career playing outside linebacker with the Denver Broncos. Through my athletic career I discovered my love for not only the game but bestowing the knowledge i have learned upon teammates and aspiring athletes. I previously trained athletes in northern Virginia for a year but since i have moved out to San Diego with combination of Covid i haven't had a chance to grow my roots here yet. I can provide in-depth on field and off field training catering to your position or needs, whether it be strength and conditioning, position specific drills or film review with an option to grade your play. I look forward to working with you and chopping away at your goals one session at a time!

I was a 2 time all state and all metropolitan player in high school, where i received over 30 offers from D1 schools around the country. I played at Virginia Tech and started 3 years where I had over 20 sacks. Following my time at Tech I played for the Broncos where i learned from future hall of famer Von Miller and All Pro defensive end Shaquille Barret. I am excited to show what i have learned from my career with you and help you grow as an athlete!

About the lesson

We will develop a plan together to cater to their needs. Typically we will work position based drills first and gradually work into agility and cardio based drills. If the athlete would like me to review and grade their film i can certainly give a thorough break down of their play and can teach them what to key in on when it comes to watching film.
