About Maya
I am a biology student at the Australian National University and completed my high school education in Sydney where I studied English Advanced, Math Extension, Chemistry, Science Extension, German Continuers and German Extension. I have been tutoring since I left school in 2023 and have worked with students from many different backgrounds. In addition to tutoring, I worked as a Girl Guides Leader for around five years, providing great perspective into working with children of different ages, interests, and ability levels!
Beyond school, I am most passionate about being outside. I love hiking and being near the ocean whenever I can!

My lessons last an hour and will include a structured review of a topic of your choosing, typically aligning with your current class topic to support class time. This time allows for individualised support where we will work together to ensure you feel confident in every topic. My aim is to always ensure that you are challenged whilst providing an encouraging environment to learn from mistakes. I also believe that organisational and study skills are an essential aspect of tutoring, and will thus provide a more holistic experience of maths support. I have tutored many students over the years, ranging from Year 5 to Year 12 Maths Advanced, giving me the experience to understand the diverse needs of different age groups and focusses.
