About Yi
I am currently a student at UCLA. I am from Malaysia and I come back every holiday, though I will be open to tutoring for both breaks and also during my school semesters. I understand firsthand how challenging it can be to grasp certain concepts in mathematics. Teaching is something I’m passionate about because I enjoy connecting with other students and creating a supportive, judgment-free space where they feel comfortable expressing their struggles. My goal is to help them build confidence and clarity in math through patience and clear explanations.

I teach exam technique and exam-based practice to ace CIE examinations. I also help teach fundamental basic mathematics to lower year groups to build mathematical foundations. Mathematics is all about logic and practice--each lesson is about active learning where the focus lies on enhancing and refining the student's approach to a problem and solving.
