About Kennedy
I am a recent graduate from Stonehill College. I have been studying French since freshman year in high school and absolutely love the language and culture! I would love to share my passion for speaking and learning French with others!
While in high school, I tutored other French students in high school for 3 years and was a member of the French National Honors Society. I also participated in an immersion program where I hosted a French student from Lyon, France for 2 weeks; I visited my friend for two weeks that summer in Lyon and interacted with her family as well.
I continued my study of French through college and earned a minor in French language. In my junior year of college, I studied abroad in the french-speaking part of Switzerland and was truly immersed in the language as I lived with a french-speaking host family. Because of my passion and dedication to learning the language, I also am a part of the college chapter of the National French Honors Society.
I have taken French courses since my freshman year of high school. I have always taken advanced classes, even through college. I achieved a minor in French language as well, and I was able to practice my French language skills while studying abroad in Switzerland for 3 months.

When working with a new student, I always try to assess their knowledge base before going forward. Once I understand where the student is starting from, we can then work on progressing and learning more difficult concepts.
I also like to start off by talking with the student about their interests, in French particularly. If they have taken French before, I like to ask them about the difficulties they've had in learning the language before as well.
I have worked with high school students and college students.
