About Elena
We tailor our classes to each student individually. With the goal to enable each student to speak, understand and write German as efficiently as possible. It's not about learning everything by heart but about becoming creative and proficient with the language.
German, French and Russian are my mother tongues.
I am a certified German teacher. I did a significant portion of my studies in French. I have worked as a journalist using all three languages.

About the lesson

In a first session (usually complimentary) I want to understand the student's goals, motivation to learn the language, her/his interests in life. I also want to understand: What learning styles work best? What is her/his experience with learning languages?
After the second session I e-mail a course plan to the student. The plan is based on the information I gathered during the first session. And then we proceed - always checking in with how happy the student is with the learning process and attaining his/her goals.
