About Barbara
While I haven’t yet taught any students, I have helped many of my peers through their study of the French language. I want to begin tutoring others in French because I have fallen in love with this beautiful language and culture.
I have had a 2 years of formal education in French, but I am furthering my studies by delving deeper into the language through individual study at a higher level, as well as receiving additional lessons myself to have a solid understanding of the subject. I believe that my help would mostly be beneficial to first and second year French students since I am a French student as well. However, I excel at my current level and am given more difficult topics to work on, alongside my baseline work.

Generally what I’ll do is figure out what area in the subject they need help with and from there I will work with them and collaborate so they will have a solid understanding. I will try different approaches if one doesn’t seem to work for them.
I haven’t had any formal students, but I have helped many of my peers.
Some advice that I would give would be to find a tutor whose teaching style works for you. There are different ways to learn a language, so it is best to find a teacher that teaches in the way that you learn best.
