About Rachael
After 4 years of studying French and 1 year abroad in France, I am ready to help you overcome the pit-falls and difficulties that are specific to the French language.
Grammar has always come easy to me, but I understand that it's not everyone's strong suit. I love being able to explain something in a way that clicks, like it never has before!
When I realized I had a knack for French, my fellow students did too, and I began answering questions in and out of the classroom.
I will obtain my Bachelor's degree in French in December of 2019, though I have already completed all necessary course work.
The senior year of this degree was completed in Nantes, France at L'université de Nantes.

I ask a student to go over what they've been learning recently, so as to find a starting point and fill in the blanks.
If I student is not currently enrolled in a class, I will ask the student if they have an idea of where they would like to start or what they would like to work on.
If this does not apply or the student is overwhelmed, I will find a starting point based on a small assessment. I will provide reading, writing, listening, and speaking exercises with an emphasis on pronunciation.
Nothing beats hands-on experience. My year in France has been indispensable to my knowledge of the language.
