About Gregory
I am new to this site, but I have been teaching and offering tutoring to my own students for the past 6 years.
I use the Springboard curriculum at my school which is tightly aligned with the SAT.
I love helping teenagers learn. It is so much fun interacting with the younger generation on a daily basis!
I originally went to school for accounting and hated my first few jobs. I decided to go back to school to get into teaching and coaching and don't regret it at all!
I have a Masters in Education with a concentration in Secondary Math from North Park University.
I have taught Algebra 1 and Geometry at Von Steuben Metropolitan Science Center in Chicago for the past 6 years.

I like to let my students lead the tutoring process. I am here to help with whatever they need.
I normally like to model a problem or two before letting the student work on the rest of their assignment.
I have taught Scholars, Honors and Regular classes including students with IEPs.
Von Steuben is a diverse school with a majority students coming from a Hispanic background.
Find someone you feel comfortable working with. That will make the learning process much more enjoyable.
I had a student that thrived during remote learning this spring. He went from a F in Geometry to a B by the end of the year!
