About Danielle
I love working with others, and love raising others up to find success and meet their goals.
I have 10 years of experience working with adults for which English is their second or third language,adults who have experienced changes in their voice due to surgery, injury, stroke, and neurological disease, adults seeking a change in vocal range, adults seeking gender affirming voice therapy. I have experience in articulation therapy with adults and children and have a great understanding of the physiology and mechanics of our mouths. Experience in respiratory muscle training, breath support, and lung strength has helped me understand how to use our lungs, throat, and mouth as an instrument to change and grow vocal abilities. I have always loved experimenting with accents and changing how words can sound. I grew up in a Chicago suburb and had the accent to prove it until I neutralized it while living in Arizona. Living in rural North Carolina for a few years brought a new accent to play with, though that was neutralized when I went back to AZ. I think it's fascinating to see what our voices can do.
I miss the accent modification group I worked with in Flagstaff, and thought it would be fun and helpful to try again.
I have a masters degree in clinical speech-language pathology with 10 years of experience working on articulation, voice, respiration/breath support.
