About Andrew

Andrew has been active in the golf business since 1997 after leaving a seven year career as active duty U.S. Army Military Police with combat deployments to Somalia and Bosnia/Croatia. He was stationed in Germany for nearly six years and Colorado Springs, Colorado for two years.

A PGA member since 2001, his positions have included: Assistant Golf Professional, Marriott Golf; Head Golf Professional, Eldon Country Club (Eldon, Missouri); PGA Director of Golf, Holiday Hills Resort and Golf Club (Branson, Missouri); and PGA General Manager/Head Golf Professional, Hodge Park Golf Course (Kansas City, Missouri).

Andrew grew up in Pittsburg, Kansas where he played junior golf and placed third in the 1988 Kansas Class 5A Boys State Golf Tournament. In 2006, he won the Midwest PGA of America Section Merchandiser of the Year, Resorts Category. A graduate of the U.S. Army Military Police School, he also holds an Associate of Arts in General Studies, a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and an M.B.A. from Columbia College in Columbia, Missouri.

I started helping the local golf professional with junior camps in 1987.

I am a member of the Professional Golfer's Association of America and have worked in the golf business since 1997.

About the lesson

I first want to sit down with my student and go over goals and expectations. This will include a physical assessment as well as equipment review.

I have worked with all players from beginners to NCAA Division I golfers. I have experience assisting Golfers with Disabilities, including severe PTSD.

The best advice I can give is find someone who you will enjoy spending time with. Instruction must be fun.
