About Jeff

Mentored by Jim Hardy, I now expertly teach the one and two-plane golf swings. I have been teaching the game at a high level for 26 years. I have been playing the game since age 3(45 years), I have worked with beginners, amateurs, tournament players and PGA/LPGA Tour players. Have given over 22,000 private lessons in my career. Utilizing a high-speed video system that captures a swing at 1,000 frames per second, it is quite easy to see the flaws in a golf swing. I give all my lessons at Alico Family Golf located at 16300 Lee Road, Fort Myers, FL 33912. A native of Bryn Mawr, graduated from The Haverford School (all-male) where I played golf all four years of high school. Shortly thereafter, I found my calling as a golf instructor.I learned the game from my father as well as the great Jim Hardy (Author, The Plane Truth).

I enjoy enhancing people's lives by getting them to play better golf. I get so proud when I hear about a student's score going down. Getting better at golf makes for happy people. At Lockman Golf Academy, we lower your score plain and simple.

I have been playing the game since age 3. My father was a scratch golfer in his 20s, 30s and 40s and taught me as well. I always admired the golf professionals that taught me as a youngster and wanted to become one as well.

I have worked with multiple PGA/LPGA/Champions Tour players in my career. I have been teaching for 26 years. I was taught the game by Frank Cardi (Former President of the PGA) and Jim Hardy (the Plane Truth author and one of the world's greatest teachers).

The first lesson gives the student an overview of his/her swing issues. We will also start working on the most severe problem a student has. It has been said that you always get worse before you get better when taking lessons. I find this to be false. I always get a student to hit it better in the first lesson.

All types from high-handicapper to scratch player. I have taught other club professionals, PGA/LPGA/Champions Tour players.
