About Ian
I'm a professional golfer and assistant professional at Rivertowne country club and Snee Farm country club. I am very passionate and detail oriented, and love to grow the game of golf. Golf is the greatest game ever. Anyone can play, and compete with one another. Having said that there are no shortcuts to getting better, and it is the hardest game on earth. The game of golf teaches people much more than how to hit a little white ball into a hole. Most people learn perseverance, etiquette and work ethic.
I love teaching the game, and seeing the look on a person's face when they hit a pure shot for the first time. My style is a little more laid back and less technical then most, but has been very effective. My star pupil came to me having never touching a golf club. We definitely have worked hard, and I'm proud to say she is now ranked in the top 25 in the world for her age group. The game of golf owes no one anything, but given the right fundamentals and dedication anyone can become the next Jordan Spieth or Stacie Lewis.
