About Ken
After a successful career in Information Technolgy, I decided to try teaching in 2008 and was lucky to find my true calling! I've been teaching and coaching test prep ever since and it's by far the most rewarding thing I've done career wise.
I've been named Teacher of the Year for the Southwest Region twice by my company (2015 and 2018).
I love teaching and coaching because it gives me an opportunity to meet new people and make a difference in the world!
After a successful career in Information Technology (my last position was Director of Technology for American Express), I started teaching and tutoring for Kaplan Test Prep in 2008.
I have been teaching and tutoring (both online and in-person) for the past 12 years.

I spend some time making sure that I understand the student's goals and personal learning style. We discuss and agree on a study plan that will help the student meet or exceed their goals.
I've had the pleasure of working with students of all ages - from 8th grade all the way up to adults prepping for their Masters / PhDs.
Make sure that you are comfortable working with the teacher. It's important that the teacher hears you! it's critical to learning and improving.
