About Paul

Paul Tosca is the lead instructor and owner of Good 2 Great Golf, an indoor golf training academy with two full-time teaching bays, and a putting green to work on short game techniques. The combination of an experienced trainer and industry-leading technology is unmatched anywhere in Southern Arizona and the most effective and cost efficient method to improving your golf game.

Trackman 4's advanced technology measures ball data such as carry distance, total distance, roll distance, ball speed, lateral carry & total distance, launch angle, launch direction angle, spin rate, spin axis, max height, and landing angle. It also measures club data such as club head speed, smash factor, angle of attack, spin loft, face angle, club path and dynamic loft.

Basically, there is NO GUESSING on what is causing you to miss the fairways or greens!

Good 2 Great Golf is invested in helping you accomplish your goals. In addition to analyzing your golf swing and developing a training plan to make lasting improvements, Coach Paul Tosca has the experience to coach students on their mental approach, course management, and pre-shot routines.

(concealed information)

Coach Paul Tosca sincerely enjoys his job and taking on the challenge of helping students achieve their goals. He understands that when a student comes in with a problem, the cause is not always obvious. It is so important to identify the real issue through experience and accurate data and not take a “band-aid” approach to a student’s issue. This approach is the most effective and provides the most value to students at Good 2 Great Golf indoor training academy.

Coach Paul Tosca was certified as a general instructor by the City of Tucson back in 1999, and has been a trainer/instructor for 23 years. He retired from the City of Tucson in 2017 and was mentored by Coach Mark Polich for golf instruction. They were part of the Golf Channel Academy group of golf instructors. Paul Tosca is a member of Proponent Group which provides ongoing webinars, teaching summits and instructor resources for golf instruction. Coach Paul Tosca is a level 2 certified professional from Trackman University and he also holds certifications from K-Coach 3D Motion Sensors and Smart 2 Move dual forces plates that measure ground reaction forces. Coach Paul Tosca has taught over 2,500 lessons to golfers of all ages and skill levels.

About the lesson

Good 2 Great Golf starts each new student, from a complete beginner to a highly skilled single digit handicap golfer, with the New Student Assessment. The swing assessment creates the foundation for the student's training moving forward. Coach Paul Tosca will start with listening to the new student's experience, current struggles and their short and long-term goals for the lessons. Next, the student will hit shots in which the Trackman data and video from multiple angles will be analyzed by Coach Tosca. After the assessment, a coaching plan will be designed based on the student's skill level and goals to effectively and efficiently get the most value for their investment in the lessons. The student will receive a written summary of the assessment and Trackman screencast of their swing so they can start working towards playing better golf.

Excellent! Had a great evaluation with Paul Tosca. He is easy to understand and has a very personable demeanor. The facility is very high tech and while I never experienced the Trackman lesson format, I really liked it! I'm ready to sign-up for the lessons....would have given Paul the 5th star based on how the lessons turn out. I definitely highly recommend Paul and Good 2 Great Golf!

I in my 50`s and my two kids ( 11 and 13 yrs old) have all taken packages of lessons from Paul. I went from 110 strokes down to bogey golf. I can play in a group with comfort and confidence. I understand my swing. I have a firm foundation of the game. I get compliments on my swing. The kids are and have done even bbetter than I have.

Paul Tosca (at Golf Academy/Mark Polich Golf Tucson) is a very thorough and methodical evaluator and instructor.

I had a New Student Assessment session with Paul at the amazing Golf Academy facility in Tucson lasting about 90 minutes. After talking through my golf experience and goals, Paul walked me through the steps of the evaluation process and we got to work

All my swings/shots were recorded and assessed by TrackMan. I then got fitted with body motion sensors and did some mid-iron and driver swings

Paul reviewed all the digital analytics with me and identified a few areas for improvement, which I then rehearsed/executed with all the tracking gear and recording

I then had time for Paul to help me with short game techniques

Within a day, I received Paul’s evaluations and recommendations along with all the session videos and TrackMan metrics for me to use in my own range work

I am much better informed of my present golf game, and much clearer about how I can improve, thanks to Paul’s insight and patient encouragement

I look forward to working on improving my swing/game with all the resources Golf Academy provided me in this very affordable session - and I hope to show Paul some real improvement 👍👍
