About Rick

PGA Professional with 15+ years experience in the golf business. Lessons specialized to the needs of the student with an emphasis on improvement and fun.

I love golf, playing golf, teaching golf and just being at a golf course every day. There is nothing like seeing a student experience the perfectly struck shot or their first "ahh I get it" moment.

I started wanting to play on tour, too much time and not enough money. Worked my way into my first assistans job in Texas. Worked my way through the PGA program, and fell in love with being a club professional. Most assistant's will start teaching juniors to hone their teaching skills and work their way up in clientele while studying different swings and teaching philosopies.

I am a PGA Professional with 15+ years experience teaching and in all aspects of the golf business.

I will typically start out by asking the student some questions about their experience and goals. From there I will formulate a game plan to help the student reach those goals.

All types of students ages ranging from 4-80+. Students with special needs. Single digit handicap to complete beginner.

Don't fall into the trap of a "one way system". Teachers teach differently and students learn differently. Find someone that you feel comfertable with and genuinely wants to help you get better.

I recently attended the 2016 Ryder Cup at Hazletine National Golf Club. This was my 3rd Ryder Cup and the most exciting.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
They should ask themselves what they want to learn, their goals. How much time can they commit to the process and are they willing to work at it or are they looking for a quick fix.
