About Claire
I have had many wonderful teachers in my lifetime, and I have made it my goal to be a positive role model in students lives. I am currently a senior majoring in elementary education at Missouri Southern State University. During my observation and throught practicums, I have spent countless hours in elementary classrooms providing one-on-one instruction with students while the main teacher is providing whole group instruction. I am aware of current Missouri state standards, and base my teaching/tutoring around them. Student success is my number one goal while I am teaching in the classroom, so I am starting to tutor to increase student success outside of the classroom. I am very flexible, as one must be when they are a teacher. With the world in its current state, I have immersed myself in a lot of online resources to help students who are struggling with virtual classes. I know that I can provide excellent one-on-one instruction to optimize your students education.
I enjoy helping students problem solve and use critical thinking skills. Students face a lot of hard work, and when they realize that their work finally has paid off the look on their face brings me me great joy! I love it when they have a "lightbulb moment!"
