I help others enjoy guitar as much as I do, all the while with a guitar in my hands. Pretty sweet deal!

I've always been drawn to helping people. Sharing music is one of the greatest joys in life. To be able to make money while doing what I love is a gift.

I've been a professional musician in NYC for over 5 years, and a life-long player. I play professionally in NYC (a member of 9+ bands!) and teach people of ALL AGES! I am an early childhood educator through music, and I have frequented senior living centers as well. My job is to connect with people and inspire them - this is the most effective way a teacher can work! Expose the student to the magic of music, and offer them access to all of the tools and tricks available - then leave the rest up them!

About the lesson

I want to hear from my student about their goals and interests. After evaluating their skill and motivation level, together we create a realistic "game plan" for their growth and learning. I gear my teaching around inspiring fun - it is called "playing" the guitar FOR A REASON! 😜

Every human is different. I have had both young and old students who work hard and make massive strides quickly, and I've had young and old students with bad practice habits and little work ethic (and it works out great, they have fun and learn at their own pace WITHOUT JUDGEMENT!)

When seeking a teacher, it is extremely important to feek comfortable around this individual. Learning is always best in a safe and friendly environment. If you can relate with your instructor, and feel safe and NOT JUDGED, then you're more likely to grow and feel good about it. I've been on both sides, and continue to be!

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Just be honest with yourself, and your instructor. I'm not here to belittle you or pass any judgement at all. If you want to play for fun without stress that's wonderful! And if you want to crack the whip and really push yourself, that's wonderful too! We can make it all happen!

My standard rate is $75/hr. However, I offer a sliding scale as well as group rates and many other flexible deals. Let's chat and work something out that is beneficial for both of us.
