About Eddie

My teaching approach:

I am very application oriented. Books are important, but I never was a "page turner." The student's interests are first and foremost, and it's my job to provide them with the proper tools, as well as introduce them to other avenues, especially in terms of songwriting, working with a band, and performing in a live/studio environment. Songs are examined, demonstrated, and taught, but the real joy comes from encouraging the students to be creative and find their own niche and write their own.

My influences are:

Ritchie Kotzen, David Gilmour, Paul Gilbert, Tosin Abasi, Tony MacAlpine, Misha Mansoor

My guitar lessons take place in:

The teacher's studio or the student's home

Guitar Lessons with me take place in the following areas:

Chester, Monroe, Goshen, Warwick Valley, NY

Guitar Techniques:

Guidance In Equipment Selection, Recording and Production, Song Writing, Scales and Exercises, Music Theory, Reading Music, Jamming Skills, Performance, Improvisation, Open tuning, Lead guitar, Rhythm guitar

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following:

Encourage, encourage, encourage!!! I look at a student's playing from every angle, and simultaneously work on taking a weakness and turning into a strength, while taking something strong and making it stronger.

A guitar lesson with me might entail the following:

It really depends on the student's current level and avenue of interest. My curriculum is custom tailored to the needs and ambitions of each student.

The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following:

One who is dedicated not only to playing, but also looking for something better. To love music, but not at the expense of what really matters.
